Marine areas at Channel Islands National Park provide food and shelter to a myriad of fish species including the colorful garibaldi, the state fish of California, and gargantuan giant black sea bass, which can grow to over 7 feet long and weigh as much as 750 pounds. Cabrillo National Monument’s tidal flats and submerged rocky reef habitats also support a number of fish species.
